Callyfin has a mint condition collection of the Japanese versions of Ecco the Dolphin and was willing to share them with us. Each scan has the box and manual covers for Ecco and Ecco 2 for Mega CD and Mega Drive.
After reading our previous article about the Ecco Box Scans, Callyfin told me that Ecco CD comes with both Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco 2. That explains why the artwork on the Ecco CD box features a background with Trellia's future.
The scans are a great compliment for fans collecting Ecco the Dolphin material. When I received them I did not expect them to be so perfect. I wish all our scans were like these but then again I am not complaining and at least our Japanese box art collection is perfect. It remains a mystery on who the artist was who did the artwork on these games but I haven't given up and Callyfin said she would attempt to figure it out if the manuals reveal such information, let us hope it does.
