Hauke of Caverns of Hope found an old copy of Flippy's lost Ecco the Dolphin 3 demonstration. There were two or three demonstrations, one with a collision test and another with the Asterite that featured an air and life meter.
Originally the project was community driven on the old Caverns of Hope forums. Members worked together on story ideas and debugging the demonstrations. When the Caverns of Hope forums closed, the project was moved to the Ocean of Light forums, which eventually closed. The final resting place of Flippy's demonstration was the Isles of Tranquility website - an Ecco the Dolphin fan website created by Flippy and Orion. Due to Flippy's lack of time and Orion's fading interest, both Isles of Tranquility and the fan game project were discontinued.

There is not much information about the games story except from what I can recall. It was a continuation of Ecco 2: The Tides of Time that was suppose to tie into the Defender of the Future plot. There was a screenshot of the Asterite asking Ecco "Why didn't you destroy the time machine like I asked?".
Although the graphics were primitive - resembling a Sega Saturn or 32X version of Ecco the Dolphin, Flippy's project was the first attempt at a three dimensional fan game. The project never made it past the collision test phase, later versions of the demo featured an updated Dolphin model.

A three dimensional game is an over ambitious project but Flippy made it look easy, all he needed was the right model designer and a little more spare time. A larger fan base and a good place to host the project would of helped as well.
