I fell in love with Tina Leyk's artwork the moment she made herself known on the Undercaves forums. Something about her artwork captured the spirit of the Ecco the Dolphin games. It reminded me of Boris Vallejo's work who did the front covers of the Ecco the Dolphin games.
I was more then happy when I was able to commission Tina to do a character from my story - Arkonviox, fighting Ecco the Dolphin. To this day it is one of my favorite paintings and it hangs in my living room above my couch. Tina doesn't take commissions these days and is hard to get into contact with. This is a painting I take a lot of pride in owning as it ultimately sums up what my story was about.
Originally the story was to include Ecco who would go out on a search for Arkonviox to help the Thirian Dolphins fight their war with a clan called the Seven Dark Whales. Arkonviox who knew of Ecco in legends would not help unless Ecco could defeat him. Ultimately Ecco defeats Arkonviox and he is forced to help fight the Thirian war.
