Magyari Andras was the composer of the music for the original Ecco the Dolphin for Sega Genesis and Megadrive. The sequel, Ecco 2: The Tides of Time was composed by Attila Heger.

Attila Heger eventualy went on to do tracks for Ecco, Defender of the Future but were removed in favor of Tim Follin's tracks instead. The only tracks by Atilla Heger in Ecco, Defender of the Future are those in the cinematic sequences.

The music tracks provided in this article are for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and Game Gear/Master System versions of the game. The Game Gear/Master System versions are in Midi format. The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive versions are in MP3 format. Both formats can be played in Windows Media Player or Apple's Quicktime Player.
