A Stone in Time, Conquest is a play-by-post (PbP) text-based role-playing game that uses a message board for players to interact and play. The idea is to create a character profile and join other players in a topic that establishes a story. It is like collaborative writing except there is an administrator who establishes the rules, the overall world and puzzles contained in that world.

If you've ever played Ecco the Dolphin, or have wanted to play a game as an Orca, Dolphin, Porpoise or Whale, this games for you. It's a cetacean role-playing game, you take on the role of any known species of cetacean and interact with other players, building a story along the way. The more you play the game, the less it seems like a message board and more like a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORG).

Your Mission

For 500 years Agartha was protected from outsiders by a complex energy shield. The strange ocean dwelling machines called the Lemurians were responcible for this shields operation. But 10 year years ago a rogue bottlenosed dolphin named Krane penetrated the machines defenses, liberating Agartha from what he percieved as machine control.

Little did Krane realize, the machines were protecting Agartha from a more serious threat. Creatures called the Moirae who were contained, controlled much like the cetacean societies native to Agartha. With the shield's failure comes a new hope, outsiders wondering from other seas beyond. Whales, dolphins, porpoises and orcas, curious of Agartha's potential and the new lives they could ultimately carve.

These outsiders now have an opportunity to discover a world rich with resources and secrets left behind by the ancient civilizations prior. As an outsider your character will discover Agartha's native inhabitants, build bonds with fellow cetaceans and help claim territories and form complex pods. Or your character can become a lone swimmer and explore the vast ocean, solving puzzles and getting in trouble along the way.

To get started you must create a profile in the components forum, your profile will contain information about your character, their gender and species. As a beginner you're allowed to have two characters, as you progress through the game you're allowed to have more. Additional characters are decided by post count, the more posts you have the more characters you're allowed.

Once your profile is created and approve by administration, you can choose a topic where other players are, or you can create your own topic. Although there are a lot of rules, you are only required to know a few. Please refer to the Rules for Getting Started section below for more information.
